adidas Originals NMD_CS1 Parley

adidas Originals joins forces again with Parley for the Oceans, and present a collaborative edition of the NMD_CS1 silhouette which reflects the two brands’ commitment to tackling marine plastic pollution.

Sticking to the NMD_CS1’s original, minimalist design, the NMD_CS1 steps out in a one-piece Primeknit construction with a contoured, sock-like fit. A closer look, however, reveals that the Primeknit has been constructed using Parley Ocean Plastic™ yarn, up-cycled plastic waste that is intercepted from beaches and coastal communities-before it reaches the ocean.

In keeping with the colors of the Oceans, the NMD_CS1 Parley is rendered in a clean Blue colorway with contrast black striping details, finished with a branded woven heel pull. This is then placed atop a classic white NMD Boost tooling, complete with tonal white EVA insert plugs and a recycled rubber outsole.

The end product is a clean expression of the Parley identity and another step toward raising awareness of the environmental issues affecting our seas and oceans every day.
