Style Fashion Week Palm Springs and Mayor Hernandez Support Emerging Artists and Community

Friday at the Palm Springs Air Museum, guests of Style Fashion Week enveloped in fashion, art and music. Hosted by Coachella Valley Mayor, Steven Hernandez and celebrity stylist, Ashley North, the Style Fashion Week runway saw the designs of Andre Emery, Bohimi, Father Akki, Smock Me, Underrated and Sweet Talk Swim. The melodic vocals of Porsia Camille, Palm Springs native, opened the night. Vezt music artist, Mann, opened the second half of the night. Notorious Pink Rosé flowed through the glasses of socialites, artists, models and guests as they explored the marketplace, featuring the works of local and international artists.

This Friday, Style Fashion Week brought many emerging, Los Angeles-based designers to the runway in effort to support the increasingly popular streetwear culture. They additionally brought many Greater Palm Springs artists and brands to the marketplace. These young brands and designers, often the inspiration behind luxury giants, rarely make their way to the Fashion Week Runway—operating under tight margins without corporate budgets to produce major runway shows. Style Fashion Week helps to share the cost of these major productions—providing designers the platform to display their work on the same level as their luxury competitors. Style Fashion Week recognizes that these designers are a vital piece of the fashion community and will continue to work to support them.

Style Fashion Week looks forward to an incredible weekend at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
