Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival to hold official launch on July 10, 2018 / .@TorCarnival

On July 10, 2018, the Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival will kick off its 51^styear with its official launch event. The official launch is a cultural showcase and celebration of the spirit of the Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival and events happening in and around the city of Toronto this summer.

WHAT:

Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival will host the official Carnival launch on July 10, 2018.

As a preview to the largest cultural event in Canada, the Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival will display some of its best costumes and entertainment during the official launch. Performances by the Toronto Mas Bands Association, the Organization of Calypso Performing Artists and the Ontario Steelpan Association will provide media with a glimpse of the celebrations set for this summer and shed light on the unique features of this seasonal showcase. 

Sponsors of the Peeks Toronto Caribbean Carnival will be present during the media launch.  

WHO:

Masqueraders in costumes presenting the themes for the Carnival, and Steel pan music and  calypso performance

Spokespeople from the Peek Toronto Caribbean Carnival: Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Hon. Sylvia Jones, Mayor John Tory, Councillor Joe Mihevc, Afaun Mandol, Vice President Operations, PeeksSocial™, will speak.
