Fundraiser to honour Danforth victim will take place on August 22 at Bob Acton Park

Drink Inc. Invites Torontonians to The Reese Fallon Legacy Scholarship and Family Fundraiser

We invite you to come and show your support in memory of Reese Fallon who was a victim of the Danforth Tragedy. On August 22^nd we are expecting over 1000 members of the community to come together for an all ages BBQ fundraiser from 4pm-9pm to help raise funds and support the Reese Fallon Legacy Scholarship Fund and the Fallon Family. Come and enjoy a night of food, cold drinks (alcoholic and non), live music, silent auction and raffle draws, being held at Bob Acton Park in the Beaches!! All funds raised will go directly to the Reese Fallon Legacy Scholarship Fund, https://www.gofundme.com/reese-fallon-legacy-scholarship and the Fallon Family. The Scholarship fund has been created in order to send a Malvern Collegiate Institute graduate to a nursing program of their choice.

About the Reese Legacy Scholarship Fund:

The Reese Fallon Legacy Scholarship Fund was created by friends of the Fallon family, to help keep Reese’s memory alive.

“We thought that the memorial scholarship would be a nice way to make sure that Reese's memory lives on forever, so that the family knows that she was just so special to us and to everyone in this community and that she will never, ever be forgotten” states a close family friend.

Reese was smart, kind and a strong member of the beaches community. She was getting ready to start the nursing program at McMaster University when she was killed in a senseless act of violence. The community is raising money with a starting goal of $75 000 to establish a scholarship fund to be distributed each year to a graduate of Malvern Collegiate entering a nursing program, as a way to keep Reese's memory alive. The funds raised will be released directly to Reese's family and to then assist them with the logistics involved in establishing the scholarship. Reese would have been an amazing nurse, and our community has suffered a huge loss with her death. We hope that this scholarship fund can provide some comfort to her family, knowing that Reese will be in our hearts forever.
