The Weeknd Celebrates 5th Anniversary of Kiss Land with New Collection
In celebration of the 5th anniversary of his
critically-acclaimed album Kiss Land, The Weeknd announces the launch of a
14-piece limited-edition collection inspired by the original album artwork.
Originally released on September 10, 2013, Kiss Land was heavily influenced by
Japan and symbolized the isolation of tour life following the success of
Trilogy mixtapes.
The collection features t-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies,
hats as well as specialty items such as a face mask, a die-cut rubberized
keychain of the Kiss Land Red Panda Cat and an ash tray.
The highlight of the collection is a year's long
collaboration with MEDICOM TOY to create the 100% and 400% Kiss Land BE@RBRICK.
Each BE@RBRICK is numbered, the 100% out of /1000 and the 400% out of /800
respectively. The packaging for both sizes is also custom with small details
nodding to the album.
To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the album, the 2LP vinyl
for Kiss Land is also being re-issued on seaglass colored vinyl to match the
color story and vibe of the album and collection.
The entirety of the collection will be available in limited
quantities Monday, September 10th on shop.theweeknd.com .
