RECAP: BAPE celebrates 25 years w/ Kid Cudi, Pusha T, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Yachty
A few nights ago at the Hulu Theatre at Madison Square Garden, iconic Japanese street wear brand A BATHING APE, BAPE celebrated its 25th anniversary with their first NYC Bape Heads Show. The brand released limited edition t-shirts onsite featuring graphics of the artists as well as gifted limited collaboration Beats By Dre to all artists. A larger than life 65ft BABY MILO created for the 25th Anniversary celebration in Tokyo was shipped in for the event. Kicking off the night was none other than Lil Yachty, playing his catalog of hits. At the end of the set he paid homage to his friend and collaborator Shek Wes when the crowd was instructed to "turn up for BAPE in NYC" as the hit "Mo Bamba" got the Hulu Theatre literally shaking. Pusha T then performed and was joined shortly after by Big Sean. Cipha Sounds Dj'd between sets and Wiz Khalifa and Kid Cudi closed out the show.
