On July 20 and 21 from 11 – 5 p.m., Toronto’s favourite Santa, Bob King is bringing unexpected holiday magic to families visiting Hillcrest – a Miracle on 34th Street Yonge Street.

Santa is departing from the North Pole to vacation in Richmond Hill, making a special trip to meet Bee-yonce, the new queen bee reigning inside Hillcrest’s rooftop hives. Santa is also spreading the word about his signature Santa show, coming to Hillcrest this holiday season. Ticket sales launch September 15.

To celebrate, he’ll be handing out 100 bottles of #HillcrestHoney to unsuspecting children, making believers of even the most skeptical. Hillcrest’s Centre Court will be transformed into a summer paradise, inclusive of Muskoka chairs, holiday lights and a summer-themed backdrop for photo-ops. Santa will make a stop at Centre Court and walk around the mall visiting his favourite retailers.

What does Santa wear in summer? He’ll maintain his familiar style, incorporating shorts, a t-shirt, red hat, holiday vest and white beard into his ensemble.

“Summer Santa has never been done before, so we’re eager to watch how children will react to this unexpected event,” says Lisa Resnic, marketing director, Hillcrest. “Bob King has brought unwavering commitment and magic to the role of Santa for 35 years. His honest holiday spirit is enough to warm even the most cynical non-believers.”
