Hilary MacMillan looks to the heavens for Spring/Summer 2020
Renowned vegan womenswear brand expanding sizing up to dress size 28
Contemporary Canadian vegan womenswear designer Hilary MacMillan will be showing her heavenly Spring/Summer 2020 collection with an intimate presentation at Toronto Fashion Week® on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 8pm at Fashion House at 78 Yorkville Avenue, Toronto.
“The inspiration for this season all started with a colour: cerulean,” explains Creative Director and Founder Hilary MacMillan, “In Latin “cerulean” means sky or heavens and we used this as the jumping-off point for the collection, keeping the colour palette very fresh and light, then adding quilted vegan leathers, woven tweeds, soft whites, and muted golds to give a heavenly feeling to our Spring 2020 collection.”
The collection will show a range of cerulean-toned blues with hints of gold, coupled with blacks and whites, with champagne using satin, vegan snakeskin-textured leather, cupro, and a multi-tonal blue and gold tweed.
While many international fashion brands are slowly working their way into the plus market, it is riskier and costly for smaller, independent fashion brands to develop a wider size range, but Hilary MacMillan is confident with her in-depth market research and customer base the expansion of her sizes will be a huge hit with stylish women across North American and beyond.
Public will have the opportunity to pre-order the SS20 collection from mid-August until September 18 at hilarymacmillan.com. The collection will be available for sale to the public on March 1, 2020.
