Startup Fashion Week has eye on Vancouver for next host city  

Startup Fashion Week™ (SFW), the world’s only multi-city fashion week, will host a Preview Party at the luxury boutique Leisure Center on Aug. 15 from 6-9PM. Vancouver’s emerging creatives, small businesses and industry insiders will unite in anticipation of the first west coast initiative from SFW. The preview party will offer an opportunity for networking, Canadian vendor activations and presentations showcasing 2 emerging designers from Vancouver and Toronto including FOURONESIX and Danya Modest Clothing.

Startup Fashion Week launched in 2014 in Toronto creating a hub for all things fashion, business and technology. Building on its remarkable success, SFW expanded with a three day program in Montreal in 2018, which grew to four day of sold out events July 2-5.  

“Vancouver has a vibrant range of fashion businesses and fashion-tech startups, which makes it the perfect destination to grow and expand Startup Fashion Week,” says Jodi Goodfellow, founder and executive producer of SFW. “After the success of SFW in two of Canada’s fashion capitals, Toronto and Montreal, we want to engage with the west coast community. Our objective is to learn more about the culture, industry and startup ecosystem to determine if there is an opportunity to expand our full program out west,” says Goodfellow.
