Scarborough Town Centre Celebrates This Holiday Season with Immersive Santa Experiences and New Holiday Lounge

This season, Scarborough Town Centre is bringing back four fan-favourite Santa experiences and introducing a holiday revamp of its Guest Services. Santa will launch Planet Santa with his arrival to Centre Court on November 12. In addition to the famed traditional photo-op experience, popular programming like Pet Night, Sensitive Santa and Santa’s Secret Workshop will also return.

Guest Services will relocate beside Entrance 4, near the Scarborough RT Station, and transform into a holiday lounge offering exclusive shopping amenities. The visitors’ lounge and coat and parcel check will be available starting November 7, and gift wrapping services begin December 1. To celebrate the launch of this pop-up, Scarborough Town Centre will welcome Scarborough-based artist Arturo ‘Durothethird’ Parada on November 7, 8 and 9, where he will be live painting a portion of the space. As part of the installation, Guest Services representatives will wear new t-shirts exclusively designed by Durothethird for STC.

“This year, Scarborough Town Centre is excited to extend our position as a community art hub by working with famed local artist Durothethird to decorate our centre with Scarborough pride,” says Lisa Resnic, Marketing Manager, Scarborough Town Centre. “With the return of inclusive Santa experiences and a new Holiday Guest Services space, we invite everyone to come celebrate the holiday season with us, whether it’s to shop, eat or play.”

NEW GUEST SERVICES POP-UP

Starting Thursday, November 7, Guest Services will relocate next to Entrance 4 (SRT Entrance). The new Guest Services features a visitor’s lounge and coat and parcel check. To kick off the new space, Scarborough-based artist Arturo Parada “Durothethird” will be live painting at the new Guest Services on November 7, 8 and 9. Gift wrapping begins Sunday, December 1.

From Monday, November 25 to Friday, November 29, shoppers who purchase a minimum $500 gift card from Guest Services will receive an extra 5% on top of the total amount. Restrictions apply.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMMING

Planet Santa

From Tuesday, November 12 to Tuesday, December 24, Planet Santa will return to Centre Court offering a traditional Santa photo-op experience. Photography packages are available for purchase in person on a first come, first served basis. Guests can skip the line by registering for a Fast Pass online on STC’s Holiday webpage.

Sensitive Santa

In partnership with Autism Toronto, Sensitive Santa returns on Sunday, November 24 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. By appointment only. Reserve through Guest Services at 416-296-0296.

Pet Night

On Sunday, November 17 and Sunday, November 24, Pet Night will take place at the Planet Santa set in Centre Court from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can bring their pets with paws (only) to take a photo with Santa. Santa’s Secret Workshop

Throughout Sunday, December 1 to Tuesday, December 24, guests can book a private one-on-one experience at Santa’s Secret Workshop. The activation is located next to MUJI and will be open Monday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Online reservations required. $60 per family/appointment.
