Get a heart on at The Drake: Valentine’s Day weekend

February 13 to 17, 2020 is a big long weekend in Ontario and The Drake is celebrating with three days of special Valentine’s offerings for one, two or three persons. Valentine’s Day three-course menus designed not just for couples will be at every location, along with an all-day floral pop-up, a friendly Thursday evening just for Palentine’s and a no cover birthday party for The Drake Hotel’s 16th year on Sunday, February 16.

On February 13 Everyday People Typewriter Poems will be popping up at The Drake Hotel from 8 to 10 p.m. to give everyone a little extra romance with on-the-spot written personalized poetry crafted with the recipients in mind - the perfect takeaway for pals to kick off this special weekend with. The Valentine’s Day prix fixe plus photobooth coupon promotion (see below) will also be available this day at The Drake Hotel only. Guests can also stick around to dance to band The 99s, playing in the lounge starting at 10 p.m.

At every Drake restaurant – Drake Commissary, The Drake Hotel, Drake One Fifty and Drake Devonshire – guests are invited to enjoy $42 prix fixe 3-course menus on February 14 and 15. The menu is designed to be enjoyed easily in groups larger than a couple, allowing for everyone to get in on the heart-filled fun. Diners at every table will also receive a complimentary photobooth coupon with purchase of a main to help preserve memories from the day.

Guests looking to rekindle or spark a new love can do so in Toronto or Prince Edward County with The Drake Hotel’s City Lights package or Drake Devonshire’s X[OH!] package, which both include a one night stay, a racy gift from the famous Pleasure Menu, a bottle of wine at Drake Devonshire and two cocktails at The Drake Hotel and more. Rates at The Drake Hotel start at $309 and $339 at Drake Devonshire. Guests at the Devonshire can also add on 60-minute in-room couples massage packages with a registered massage therapist for $270 on February 15 only.

At the Drake General Store flagship across the street from The Drake Hotel (1151 Queen Street West), sweethearts and solo-flyers alike can pre-order bouquets from Carmel Floral’s all day floral pop-up. Flowers can be picked up in-store from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on February 14.

The Drake’s 16th Anniversary

Sunday, February 16 also marks a sweet sixteen years since the opening of The Drake Hotel on Queen Street West. To commemorate the occasion, The Drake will be throwing a no cover and no guest list one-night-only fete on Sunday, February 16 from 9 p.m. with a special performance from All Vinyl Everything, a Drake favourite and genre-bending evening that always leads to an all-night dance party. Sleepovers are available this night too at The Drake Hotel, with a special one-time only commemorative rate starting at $216.
