Juno/Latin Grammy Award Winner Alex Cuba Covers Michael Jackson's Billie Jean in New Online Series

Tonight, Alex will be launching his second cover song - an adapted version of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" - one of the most popular, and recognizable songs in the world. Citing the monumental impact Michael Jackson and "Billie Jean" had on him as an 11-year-old in Cuba, Alex credits both the artist and the song for teaching him the difference between a groove and rhythm, changing and shaping his perspective and understanding of music forever. Alex's adaptation of the iconic piece includes the song being sung in Spanish. Noting that he first heard it as a non-English speaker, Alex was disappointed to later understand that the lyrics were about the denial of a relationship and a child. The lyrics in Alex's version focus on someone regretfully admitting that they're no longer with their partner.
