The other certified lover boy from Toronto is here
Toronto, Canada, is one of music's epicentres. And helping continue the city's reign is upcoming singer/songwriter Bloke Young. The name Bloke Young comes from "Bloke," being British slang for a man and "Young" referencing Yonge Street, the longest street in Canada, beginning in downtown Toronto and ending at the Ontario/Minnesota border. Beginning to release songs in 2013, Young saw previous success under the name Kazz Music where he released the song "The Call" featuring Drake-affiliated artist Preme.
Bloke was also close to signing with CP Records when label owner Tony Sal showed significant interest in Young. CP Records eventually became XO which preceded the massive success of their flagship artist, The Weeknd. Not one to rest on his laurels, Young continued to preserver and now is sitting on a wealth of material spanning modern R&B and Pop sounds. He was then approached by former G-Unit artist and west coast legend The Game and brought to the studio to work with Swae Lee. Again, a deal didn't materialize however Young was inspired by the interest across the industry.
"Temptations" was inspired by a trip to Miami where Young and his friends discovered the unique strip club scene in South Beach. Through interactions with various dancers, Young was inspired to write "Temptations," which is the first single off his forthcoming EP 'Conversations with Niki.'
