TWLOHA Chosen as Official Charity Partner for Discord's Snowsgiving

Mental health non-profit To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) is excited to announce that they have been chosen by Discord, the talk, text, and video communications service, as the official charity partner for the company’s annual Snowsgiving holiday event, which takes place December 6 – 13 and aims to raise money throughout the month of December. Now in its fifth year, Snowsgiving brings together all of Discord’s communities on a single server for a week-long celebration of games, contests, donation drives, collaborations, giveaways, and much more.

“This event is all about connection and making sure people know that they are not alone this holiday season. The holidays are not easy and with the overwhelming increase of people struggling with things like depression, anxiety, and substance use, we value the chance for this to be a lighthearted space for folks to feel cared for and seen, and to engage in supportive conversations about mental health.” shared TWLOHA Co-Executive Director Lindsay Kolsch.

Founded in 2015, Discord is on a mission to create space for everyone to find belonging. With over 150 million monthly active users, it helps friends and communities of all sizes come together to hang out and explore their interests—from artists and activists, to study groups, sneakerheads, plant parents, day traders, and more.

From creating and collaborating on original video content, holiday music arrangements, and creative artwork, to testing new games from the Discord Games Lab and attending panels centered around a variety of topics—this year’s Snowsgiving will offer unlimited access to a fun-filled week of themed events and activities.

Lindsay Kolsch (Co-Executive Director), Chad Moses (Director of Outreach), Briauna Hagins (FIND HELP Manager) and James Inks (Influencer Relations), from TWLOHA will also join the Snowsgiving festivities. The team will host a Q & A on Wednesday, December 8th at 9am PT on the Discord Townhall server. Community members will be able to join in to learn more about TWLOHA’s mission, why it's important to talk about mental health, and what resources exist.
