On his latest cut, nomadic, London-born MC Slim Papi follows a flurry of

iconic-film-director titled tracks with 'David Lynch' featuring Pitchfork celebrated,

New Jersey MC, Crimeapple, fresh off the back of appearances on Westside Gunn's LP and

Rosnerberg's 'Real Late' comp alongside Ghostface Killah & Jim Jones. 'David Lynch' is

taken from Slim Papi's follow up to his ‘Châteauneuf-du-Papi Vol. 1’ EP which saw

support from Clash, COLORSXSTUDIOS, BBC6 Music, BBC Introducing, Amazon ++.

Produced by Slim Papi (Noonian Soong) himself, David Lynch sees Crime join Paps to

trade bars celebrating lifes wins and luxuries. Papi rolls out some of his most high

grade trademark references of cuisine ("Steamed bream with creamed beans in a

limousine, I'm eating langoustines and tangerine's in Aberdeen"), travel ("I back flip

off a catamaran in Kazakhstan, the man with the plan is stuck in Milan in a traffic

jam) and cultural touchstones ("iridocycltis") whilst Crime rides shotgun, assuring

the listener they can smoke in the ride and letting us know he "entered the coupe in

pyjamas with regular shoes" before the pair "ride up the avenue, affable", expertly

fitting his multi's inside of Soong's soulful, minimal production.

'David Lynch" featuring Crimeapple is the second single taken from the forthcoming

'Châteauneuf-du-Papi Vol. 2' EP, set for release late May. The EP will be available as

a limited edition 7" vinyl alongside tracks featuring Lunch Money Life's - Poison

Zcora and production from Madlib-collaborator Sonnyjim.

In 2022 Slim has received editorial support from the likes of Clash Magazine, Crack, COLORSXSTUDIOS and Tidal as well as radio support from the BBC 6 Music, BBC 1Xtra, Rinse FM,The Lot Radio & NTS. Meanwhile Crime is fresh off the back of collaborations with Ghostface Killah, Jim Jones and Westside Gunn as well as his latest album release, Jaguar On Palisade 2.
