KEVIN GATES ANNOUNCES “ONLY THE GENERALS TOUR” FEAT SPECIAL APPEARANCE FROM BIGXTHAPLUG

In the wake of a breakthrough 2023, Texas trailblazer BigXthaPlug obtains another major cosign as Kevin Gates turned to Instagram to announce that BigX will be a special guest on his upcoming “Only The Generals” tour. (Pre-sales for Kevin Gates’ upcoming tour can be found Here)

BigXthaPlug is having an undeniable year of success, which has seen him release his debut album Amar in February via UnitedMasters. The album debuted on the top 10 of the Billboard Heatseekers chart earlier this year, holding the No. 1 spot for multiple weeks. Pitchfork also rated Amar as one of the highest-reviewed hip-hop albums in the first half of 2023, leaving BigX’s album rated higher than BabyTron (6), Lil Durk (Almost Healed), Jack Harlow (Jackman), and Destroy Lonely (If Looks Could Kill).

The “Texas” rapper has generated a significant buzz throughout the culture at large. He’s received rave reviews from industry staples such as The FADER, Pitchfork, XXL, Genius, Earmilk, HotNewHipHop, The Source, and SPIN Magazine’s ‘15 Artists To Watch In 2023’ list; he performed at Erykah Badu’s Birthday Bash earlier this year (Feb 24); and The Texas Ranger’s used “Texas” in their ‘City Connect’ jersey reveal back in April.

BigXthaPlug can be seen on tour with Kevin Gates during their kick-off show on October 6 in Portsmouth, VA which will also arrive on the heels of BigX’s “Don’t Mess With Texas” tour ending on October 7th in Austin, TX.
