Miami's Top Interior Designer and Architect to Explain Latest Trends in Luxury Design

When working with high net worth clients, the most important aspect of the job is "bringing their vision to life and making it extraordinary," says Miami-based architect and interior designer Stephanie Halfen. But dealing with the most elite buyers was not always a part of her everyday as she started from humble beginnings and worked her way up the ranks after immigrating from Caracas, Venezuela.

"The hard times were really reinventing not only myself, but ourselves as a family. In Venezuela, I worked as an architect and taught in Architecture School while my husband ran a construction company. Little by little, our country Venezuela started to go under, and I really felt the need to step up and help our family figure out a way out of the country. When we arrived in Miami, we had to reinvent ourselves. I had to figure out how to make it as an architect in this country and also help my husband figure out how to create and run a construction firm in America," says Halfen.

Now, Halfen is Known as the Queen of Golden Beach, having designed luxury mansions in Golden Beach, Bay Harbor Islands, and other top Miami destinations. She is all about the hottest luxury trends and is at the forefront of up and coming design.

"Buying luxury goods from LVMH and other companies has replaced shopping at designer stores. So many people have piles of boxes at their front door now. This has become so common that clients are now requesting their home architects and interior designers to create a space in their homes for storage for online shopping packages and other items."

Wellness is also one of the top lifestyle trends. As it continues to impact lifestyles and shopping sources, clients are incorporating wellness into their homes. Stephanie is seeing requests for saunas and massage rooms.
