NEW SINGLE “STICKS & STONES”
WITH CONWAY THE MACHINE OUT NOW
The tour coincides with the release of Joyner’s long-awaited sophomore studio album, Not Now I’m Busy, scheduled for independent release on March 22nd. Joyner recently unveiled the album’s artwork, generating further excitement among his fan base – PRE-SAVE HERE.
With Joyner’s latest release “Sticks & Stones” featuring Conway The Machine, he delivers introspective bars about dealing with fame and the hate that comes with the territory. He goes to rap about betrayal from his own loved ones, dropping lyrics like “I’ve seen my own family stab my back, I should’ve known. They say sticks and stones will break your bones, I’m sticks and stones.” In the song, Joyner even hints that he considered walking away from the rap game altogether but concludes that he “rather cry inside a yacht than an 88 DeVille.” Meanwhile, Conway holds his own over the soulful beat, rapping about overcoming tragedy in the streets to triumph as an artist.
“Sticks & Stones” marks Joyner’s first release of 2024 and comes after he previously released “24 Hours to Live” in the fall of 2023. The song detailed Joyner’s anticipated reality and the series of events that would occur if he learned he only had one day left to live. He also dropped standout songs like “Seventeen,” “Broski,” “Cut U Off” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and “What’s That?,” which are slated to appear on his first album in 4 years. Joyner’s last album ADHD, debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, earned RIAA Gold certification, sparked a much-needed conversation about mental health, and established a new template for success that independent artists could follow.
