 Tragic Loss in the Line of Duty

 A veteran Toronto Police Emergency Task Force officer was killed this morning while executing a high-risk search warrant in the Black Creek/Trethewey area. ETF members are the "cream of the crop" — specially trained to take the danger head-on in volatile situations involving armed suspects. One suspect was shot and is in hospital; another 19-year-old remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.Our thoughts are with the officer’s family, his wife and two kids, and the entire Toronto Police Service. Two officers lost in such a short time — a sobering reminder of the risks our law enforcement face every single day.
