GOTSTYLE ANNOUNCES GAME DAY: A JOFFREY LUPUL STYLE PARTNERSHIP

Toronto's purveyor of tailored quality and elegance, Gotstyle, partners with Toronto Maple Leaf, Joffrey Lupul, for a new charity initiative, GAME DAY. The social media campaign will help raise funds and awareness for Lupe's Troops while advocating great style in hockey!

Ever since Coach's Corner became a platform for outrageous fashion, the good ol' hockey game has been getting a makeover; interviews and press conferences with Toronto's athletes have not only been a great place to source sports stats, but also a great place to check out the latest in men's style. Enter Gotstyle's Melissa Austria and her team; their philosophy is to spread the word that looking great IS achievable, anywhere, anytime.

This hockey season, Gotstyle will partner with the fashionable Toronto Maple Leaf left wing, Joffrey Lupul, for GAME DAY - a new style forum where fans weigh in on Joffrey's best game day look, giving the style savvy star one to four hockey pucks out of a potential four. The micro site, lupulstyle.com, will not only give readers great style advice but will also drive awareness to a cause that has been close to Lupul's heart since he first joined the NHL. For each vote an outfit gets, Gotstyle and Lupe's Troops will make a donation to the True Patriot Love Foundation in support of military families across Canada.

Joffrey partnered up with the luxury clothing emporium, Gotstyle, after having been styled from head to toe for a photo shoot, he fell in love with the ensemble Melissa dressed him in - a tailored Lab by Pal Zileri modern tuxedo - and from them on, wanted Gotstyle to dress him exclusively. Lupul was overwhelmed by the positive attention and kudos he received from the dapper outfit and from that, the basis of GAME DAY was imagined. Having always been interested in fashion, and now with Gotstyle behind him, Joffrey Lupul and Melissa Austria started to talk about ways to work together more, bringing fashion, and his heart for philanthropy, to hockey fans.

"The goal is to bring more style to hockey," says Melissa Austria, founder of Gotstyle. "No matter what level of hockey you are playing in, - from peewee to professional - on game day, you are expected to look your best in and represent your team in a beautiful suit. We are so happy to work with such a talented athlete, ambassador and friend. We loved the idea of driving awareness to Lupe's Troopes and immediately knew that this would be a wonderful initiative."

LUPE'S TROOPES: Lupe's Troops (formerly Luke's Troops) is a program started by past Leaf's defenseman, Luke Schenn, designed to honour members of the Canadian Armed Forces. To carry on this great initiative, Joffrey Lupul offered himself as the new program appointee. For every Leaf's home game, Lupul donates two tickets, jerseys, and food and recognizes members of the Canadian Armed Forces-usually followed by a standing ovation.
