 NXNE Hits The Streets Of Toronto

 

 Future Islands, Pusha T, and AraabMUZIK are among the latest acts to be added to the already stellar North by Northeast (NXNE) 2014 lineup. NXNE, now in its 20^th year, is also proud to announce three nights of shows at legendary Massey Hall exclusively for wristband and badge holders. Other wristband and badge holder exclusives include a satellite party on VICE ISLAND and special VIP access to the festival’s trademark Yonge-Dundas Square performances. 

As previously announced, NXNE will collaborate with cultural touchstone and provocateur VICE Media to re-create their hugely successful SXSW VICELAND project by transforming Toronto Island into VICE ISLAND. A private ferry will take NXNE wristband and pass holders across Lake Ontario for a unique festival experience, including a set by Future Islands, fresh off their Coachella debut, and an exclusive appearance by Pusha T, whose album My Name is My Name made Rolling Stone's 50 Best Albums of 2013 list.

To help celebrate its 20-year milestone, NXNE will offer priority access to all 2,752 seats in historic Massey Hall for NXNE wristband and badge holders. The three nights of concerts at Massey Hall include performances by Spiritualized, tUnE-yArDs, Rhye, Kelela, The Barr Brothers, and more. 

NXNE will give more to its wristband and badge holders than ever before, including: access to a new viewing space at Yonge-Dundas Square for four days of free concerts by Sleigh Bells, St. Vincent, Spoon, Juicy J and more; a hotbed of electronic music at MiO House at The Hoxton; five days of BBQ and schmoozing at the Edward Day Gallery; the best in underground music with a signature Boiler Room showcase; a four-day party at the Budweiser Music House; big headliners and buzz bands with Red Bull Sound Select; an all-day shindig at the delightfully infamous 159 Manning house-turned-music-palace: and the return of The Independent Label Market, in cooperation with StageFright Publicity and Paper Bag Records.
