Samsung Celebrates Launch of Samsung Pay // Kicks off ACL Festival Weekend

 In Austin, Samsung celebrated the launch of Samsung Pay – a brand new mobile payment service – by treating Samsung Galaxy owners to a private Samsung Pay Block Party with a special performance by Fitz and The Tantrums, who played hits such as “The Walker” and“Break the Walls,” as well as a cover of the famous song“Sweet Dreams.”  Later in the night, guests moved to the roof of the hotel for a private Samsung Level Up after party with appearances by A$AP Rock, DJ Ruckus and Run the Jewels. 

For the third year in a row, Samsung is bringing TheSamsung Galaxy Experience and Samsung Galaxy Owner’s Lounge back to ACL, to provide Samsung Galaxy owners and music fans with upgraded festival experiences and perks and unbeatable views of the Samsung Galaxy mainstage.  Additionally, for those not able to attend the festival this year, Samsung Milk Music, a streaming radio service exclusive to Samsung Galaxy devices, launched anAustin City Limits Spotlight station.

• Thursday morning, Samsung Galaxy owners received access to the block party by visiting the Samsung Pay Truck and interacting with the new service.
• At the Samsung Pay Block Party, guests were able to test out Samsung Pay on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Samsung Galaxy Note5 devices.
• At the Samsung Level Up After Party, A$AP Rocky posed with guests, to take selfies on the new Samsung Galaxy Note5
• At the Samsung Level Up After Party, guests were able to test out Level On Wireless headphones while listening to beats from Run the Jewels.

Samsung is returning to Austin City Limits in a big way this year to celebrate the launch of Samsung Pay, a new simple and secure way to pay with your phone that works in more stores than any other mobile payment service.

The Samsung Galaxy Owner’s Lounge, located next to the main stage will offer select Galaxy owners a premium view of the festival’s hottest acts.
