Lift announces the 4th annual Canadian Cannabis Awards

Lift is proud to announce that the 2017 Canadian Cannabis Awards will be celebrated at a gala event this November in Toronto.

About the Canadian Cannabis Awards

Since 2014, cannabis insiders and enthusiasts have turned their attention to the Canadian Cannabis Awards (CCAs), recognizing leadership, innovation and excellence in the Canadian cannabis industry. Continuing the tradition, Lift is excited to announce the 4th annual Canadian Cannabis Awards, its biggest celebration to date.

The CCAs celebrate all aspects of the industry, distinguishing the people, companies and products that make Canadian cannabis great. Cannabis consumers and enthusiasts vote on many of the categories, awarding their favourite strains, licensed producers, dispensaries, medical clinics and social media influencers, to name a few.

This year, Lift is introducing a class of awards that will be voted on by a committee of industry experts and insiders. Their experiences qualify them to assess business achievements and the technical categories, deciding the Brand of the Year, Top Research Initiative, and more.

For the first time in the industry’s history, Lift will also be hosting a gala dinner and awards ceremony, commemorating winners with public recognition. Presented by MNP LLP, the event will welcome industry for a gala-format dinner celebration and will be livestreamed. Tables are available on an invitation-only basis. A limited number of single tickets to the event will be announced at a later date.

“The CCAs have always been a point of pride for Lift, but this year is special,” says Lift CEO Matei Olaru. “For the first time, we’ll be gathering the industry’s best to celebrate our shared success and shine a spotlight on Canadian cannabis. Our industry is filled with talented and hard-working professionals, and we’re excited to recognize their contributions while adding a little glamour to their year.”

The awards gala will take place on November 30th at the historic Carlu in Toronto and is presented by MNP LLP.

Voting begins September 1st and closes September 30th, 2017. Results will be announced at the awards gala, online at lift.co and in the CCA-themed issue of the Lift magazine.
