Range Rover Sport P400e
Land Rover recently announced that all new cars will be available
with an electric powertrain option in 2020 and the first step toward
that is the Range Rover Sport P400e. The P400e is the company's
first-ever plug-in hybrid and will launch as a 2019 model.
The SUV will feature a 296hp, 2.0L four-cylinder Ingenium gas engine
that will be joined by a 85kW, 102-hp electric motor. This arrangement
gives the car a total of 398 hp while delivering 472 lb-ft of torque. As
for speed, it will be capable of a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds and a top
speed of 137 mph.
Efficiency-wise, the car can travel up to 31
miles on electric power and can top out at 85 mph when the EV mode is
enabled. A full charge will take 2 hours 45 minutes on a rapid charger
and it can also be fully charged overnight on a standard socket.
