As New York Fashion Week continues, some of the biggest news is happening off the runways and social media is keeping track.  According to international social media analytics firm Talkwalker, the top trending topic on social media is the altercation over the weekend between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, with nearly 400K engagements (likes, comments, shares, reTweets).

In total, there have been more than 300K social media posts focused on New York Fashion Week over the past seven days, with 60.1K mentions and 970.5K engagements coming over the past 24 hours, Talkwalker reported.  

Over the past week, Minaj topped all celebrity mentions by a huge margin.  The top celebrities trending over the past seven days are:

3. Ralph Lauren – 6,233

4. Tom Ford – 4,934
