adidas Originals Prophere: Inspiring A Bold, Crew Spirit

adidas Originals captures the unwavering spirit of Prophere with the release of a series of images that champions the uncompromising creators that exist on their own terms, while featuring the latest launch of the provocative footwear bringing the shoe’s outsider mindset and act of rebellion to the forefront. 

Known for their laidback, off-beat rhythms and homegrown energy, rising stars of the west coast rap scene SOB x RBE are featured in the series of images which encapsulate the outsider mentality that underpins the Prophere model. Photographed on their home turf of Vallejo, California and in the group’s natural environment – brings this element to the forefront and captures a ‘from the inside’ perspective of the group. 

Hanging out in their local neighborhood with friends and familiar faces, the overall attitude and atmosphere characterizes the crew’s style, personality and behavior. This fearless rap foursome with an uncompromising spirit exposes the bold and defiant runner silhouette in two new colorways for Fall 2018. Each shoe in the release features a stark black palette  across  the upper and midsole,  accented  by  3-stripes  mark  in  either  White  or Hot  Pink, putting Prophere at the center of a new streetwear community who do things their own way.  

Uniquely different, rebellious in nature and always making a statement, Prophere continues to disrupt and reconstruct familiar norms in the creation of something new, exciting, and unquestionably homegrown.

 About SOB x RBE

In the past year, SOB X RBE has reached far beyond the Bay Area’s borders. Last February, they landed a spot on the Black Panther soundtrack with “Paramedic!,” followed by the release of their debut album Gangin. On the project, the group raps about how far they’ve come, how far they still have to go, and, above all, their loyalty to each other. Individually, each member of SOB X RBE brings a special element to the table. Yhung T.O is a melodic heavyweight, packing knockout punches into his sung lines; DaBoii is an untamed warrior, attacking the mic with ferocity; Slimmy is the slick-talking anchor, staying the course with his wordplay; and Lul G is their vibrant soul, fueling the party with his never-ending drive. Their four voices stand out on their own but, together, they’re unstoppable.
