On how he’s getting the word out about the Raising Hell Anniversary Album
"Being on the phone talking to you is one way of telling people about it. I've been Tweeting about it, Instagrammed about it, they have various things they're doing over at Sony to honor the record. And I'm, again, being on this call means a lot to me, because I'm talking to someone who, like you said, grew up on it and loves it… those types of things and just telling people about it.”

On his early ambitions
“I thought I couldn't think big, I only thought what I was doing was extremely dope to me. I didn't know how it was gonna reach a guy out in Canada, I didn't know. But I just wanted it to be as big as it could be, in the size of the place that I knew. I wanted it to be big. I wanted to be on my local radio station. I wanted to be big in my neighborhood. And I wanted to be I wanted to be I was making stuff I knew was amazing. And my whole heart was in making it and my whole heart was in knowing what I finished. This is dope.”

On if he considers himself a reflective person
“I'm more loving what's happening that's out there. Grateful for what happened. I'm like Dr. J. I'm like Julius Erving. He rolled it. And now LeBron and others are ruling it. So, I would guess that someone like me, or Michael Jordan or Dr. J know, what we did. But then you're looking at what's going on now. And that's it's a beautiful thing to know what you did. And it's a beautiful thing to know what you're doing. I’m on some, ‘What can Rev Run do now that will make me excited to accomplish?’”

On the most exciting part about this release
“I'm excited that one day I woke up and that on TikTok, I’m looking and there is Jay the Pink and them doing Tricky on a TikTok. Then I looked to the left and there was Kylie Jenner, and then it was this guy or that girl and it's like, ‘Oh my god. Tricky is a hit all over again.’ And that's from the album. And it's exciting to know that what 35 years later it was breaking the internet.”
