Hurricane Ida Benefit Stream Ft. Members Of Dumpstaphunk & Lettuce, Judith Hill, More Announced
Live For Live Music presented a special iteration of The Phunk Sessions at Denver's Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, which brought together Dumpstaphunk's Ivan Neville, Ian Neville and Nick Daniels, as well as Adam Deitch (Lettuce), Skerik (Garage A Trios/Les Claypool), Parris Fleming (TMRW PPL), Judith Hill and Grammy-nominated guitarist Ari Teitel for a funk-filled night in benefit of non-profit organization, Conscious Alliance.
Now, in an effort to provide support in the wake of Hurricane Ida, the September 4th Phunk Sessions performance will be released as a livestream this Thursday, September 9th at 7:00 pm ET, available exclusively to those willing to contribute to the cause. Fans who opt to make a donation of any amount will receive access to the exclusive content. All proceeds will benefit mutual aid and disaster response organization, Imagine Water Works.
Live For Live Music founder Kunj Shah aimed to bring the music community together quickly to provide relief to the nation's live music capital. "There is no city that has influenced what we do at Live For Live Music more than New Orleans. We are all devastated by the damage the hurricane has caused to the city, and its direct effect on our musical family and friends," reflects Shah. "With so many incredible NOLA-based musicians on this lineup, we decided to use the opportunity to make a difference through the power of music."
