Adidas Proudly Introduces Actress Camila Mendes as The Newest Member of Its Running Community
Adidas is thrilled to announce its partnership with Brazilian-American actress, producer, and entrepreneur Camila Mendes, welcoming her into its running family. Together, they aim to promote the idea that running is an inclusive sport, focusing on community, self-care, and enjoyment rather than just competition.
Patrick Nava, VP Product, Running & Credibility Sports at adidas Running, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “At adidas, we recognize that every runner’s connection to the sport is personal and unique, which is what makes running so remarkable. Camila embodies the philosophy that running is for everyone, and we’re excited to team up with her. By sharing her own complex journey with running as a relatable figure, we hope she’ll motivate others to keep going and embrace whatever running brings to their lives.”
Throughout the year, Camila will be featured in various adidas campaigns and product launches, starting with the debut of the Supernova Rise 2 – adidas’ latest comfort-focused running shoe. Reflecting on her involvement, Camila shared, “I’ve always stayed active, but running became a core part of my routine while preparing for my latest role. I’ll be honest – running isn’t always simple for me, and I didn’t always identify as a runner. But I know plenty of people feel the same way. It’s normal to have ups and downs with running. By owning both the struggles and the growth, I want to inspire others to feel good about their own path – and to enjoy running on their terms. Joining the adidas running family is an honor. They really took the time to get my story, and together we’ve built a campaign that’s honest, funny, and real. I’m so excited to see it unfold.”
Camila will kick things off by showcasing the newest colorways of the award-winning Supernova Rise 2, a comfort-driven shoe crafted to enhance the daily running experience. The footwear is available now for purchase since March 7th.
