| The Tigers don’t just show up. They arrive. Six members of Grambling State University’s World Famed Tiger Marching Band are featured in Urban Outfitters’ first-ever national back-to-campus brand campaign, “All Together Now,” which debuted tuesday, bringing GSU’s signature sound, showmanship, and energy to audiences across the country during one of the brand’s biggest moments of the year. |
“All Together Now” brings together 76 real students from more than 10 universities, with Grambling State as the only HBCU represented, all channeling the energy and spirit of college Game Day. GSU’s Drum Major anchors the commercial with the band’s unmistakable high-step, whistle, and commanding presence, serving as a visual heartbeat throughout the campaign. Where the World Famed Tiger Marching Band shows up, they don’t blend in. They set the pulse.
“In our 100-year existence, the World Famed Tiger Marching Band has always been known for being first,” said Nikole Roebuck, Ph.D., Director of Bands, Grambling State University. “This opportunity to participate in Urban Outfitters’ first national back-to-campus campaign is no different. When we show up, we show out. Our students understand they’re representing a legacy that’s bigger than them, and it’s their responsibility to carry it forward with discipline, pride, and dedication.”
| “All Together Now” is the latest in Urban Outfitters’ Back-to-Campus platform, rooted in supporting students through the milestones and traditions that shape the college journey. The campaign arrives during a milestone year for Grambling State, which is celebrating the centennial of Tiger Athletics and the World Famed Tiger Marching Band. For 100 years, the band has built a legacy that has taken it from Presidential inaugurations to Super Bowl halftime stages and countless cultural moments in between. Its inclusion in a national campaign with one of fashion’s most recognizable brands marks the latest chapter in a century-long tradition of turning every stage into its own. | | “Grambling State has never simply participated in culture, we have helped shape it,” said Martin Lemelle, Jr., D.B.A., President of Grambling State University. “For 100 years, the World Famed Tiger Marching Band has represented excellence, creativity, and an unmistakable sense of identity. To see that legacy featured in Urban Outfitters’ first national back-to-campus campaign is a meaningful recognition of the influence Grambling continues to have across generations.” | | The campaign also features the UNLV Rebel Girls & Co. and SDSU Dance Team, alongside athletes, musicians, and performers from host campus Rutgers, as well as top creators and NIL athletes from Penn State, Syracuse, and NC State. | | GSU’s inclusion places the World Famed Tiger Marching Band alongside some of the most recognizable voices in college culture today—and underscores the growing influence of HBCU culture, creativity, and tradition on the national stage. | For Grambling State, it is another opportunity to do what the World Famed has done for a century: bring the sound, spirit, and swagger of the Tigers to every stage they enter.
