International Pop Sensation Astha Releases Remix To Latest Single "RIDE"
Astha’s new single, “Ride”, from her upcoming EP showcases her diversity and multifaceted talents as a singer-songwriter and musician. Whether playing with a full band, or just serenading with her guitar, Astha’s voice always soars above everything else.
With an international career already full of highlights, Astha has been a soaring name in Nepal’s music scene for the last few years. Astha’s last single “ Where Have You Been “ was featured on MTV’s Just Arrived Playlist (Pepsi MTV Indies) in 2015 and her YouTube channel has drawn in millions of views from fans all over the world. From 2011 to present, Astha has toured the world playing in venues and at festivals in the USA, Nepal, India, Australia, UK, and Canada. Astha embarked on her very first international tour in May 2014, performing in prominent concert venues all around the world such as The Metro (Sydney, Australia), The Coronet Theatre (London, UK), The Hi-Fi (Melbourne, Australia), Café Live and Loud (Sikkim, India), The Horseshoe Tavern (Toronto, Canada), The Opera House (Toronto, Canada), Princes Hall (Aldershot, UK), Leas Cliff Hall (Folkestone, UK), and The Hard Rock Café (Boston, USA).
Aesthetically and musically, Astha has been playing with a broad concept to loosely tie the album together: simplicity is the strongest form of sophistication. The album’s concept is to capture complex human emotions in the most simplistic form through her melodies and lyrics.
Astha’s single, “Ride”, was released in last month and has spawned a great re-working from DJ Ephixa. Within her unique sound she turns these hip-hop centered instrumentals into pop songs through catchy hooks, and beautiful melodies. The single features Toronto based MC Manny Rite who rhymes smoothly over the beat to tie the record together nicely. The official music video was released alongside the single and was directed by Saint of Motion 20 productions.
